Apples To Go's Story
The PASS -Premium Apple Slicing System® was developed in Wenatchee, Washington, the "Apple Capital of the World" in 2003 by Berglin Corp. and is now produced and marketed by Apples-To-Go in Seattle. It is covered by patents filed in the US and internationally.
The value of the PASS system is in its ability to surgically slice near perfect apple wedges that appeal to the general public as a healthy food product. This method of coring and slicing and the quality of apple-slice produced are unique in the industry. This uniqueness provides the strategic advantage to processors who seek to capture and sustain market-share in their regions. PASS sliced apples have never been displaced by a competitor in any retail market, ever ! As you can see, the quality is visible.
Today we license and lease complete apple-processing lines to fruit processors on every continent and Oceania.
The PASS system slices all soft-cored fruit. including oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, pears and kiwi, (even tomatoes and some vegetables).
One PASS slicer can produce 500 net lbs per hour of perfectly cut fruit with no debris, no bruising, no separated skins or broken ends.
